David has been a pilot for several decades. He has flown several thousands of hours across 45 states, including Hawaii. And in Canada and in the Bahamas. David has trained many pilots for their Private, Commercial and Flight Instructor licenses. And over 200 ground school students. All passed their flight and written tests on their first try.
David graduated with a degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan. He was the founder of the University of Michigan Flyers, Inc. Which has been responsible for the training of over 4,000 pilots. [Including the head of American Airlines International Training and a lead of the Blue Angels]. Dave can teach in many planes. They include the Cessna Skycatcher, Cessna Skyhawk, Cessna Skylane and Cessna Turbo Stationair. Pipers from the Cub to the Arrow, and Mooney airplanes. Dave has also flown hot air balloons and gliders, and is a rated glider tow pilot.
David authored many courses and web based training classes for companies in Silicon Valley. He has been Product Manager and Public Relations Director at HP. And Business Group Manager at Apple. When not flying or teaching, Dave cares about: good food, Hawaii, his family, human rights, poverty, the environment, science and technology.
