Gil is a graduate of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. With a Masters in Aeronautical Science and a Bachelors in Aviation Business Administration. He moved to the S.F. Bay Area in 2017, with his wife after a lifetime in Southern California.
Gil was employed by Boeing Aerospace Operations in the company’s flight training operation where “Full-Flight” Level D Flight Simulators were utilized to train airline pilots on MD-11, MD-90, and B-717 aircraft. He was also a Safety Expert at Safety Research Corporation. Where he contributed to the revisions of several FAA Handbooks such as the Airplane Flying Handbook. Also, he taught graduate and undergraduate courses for Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He is an active member of the FAA Safety Team, National Association of Flight Instructors, the Society of Aviation and Flight Educators, and American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics. He enjoys teaching everything about aviation and the finer points of airmanship.
Gil enjoys being with his wife and kids, building experimental airplanes, and flying seaplanes.
