Hari grew up in North Carolina and in Bangalore, India, since middle school. He earned his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering in 2016. After completing his engineering studies, he conducted research in oil and gas and later worked in solar energy. In 2020, he switched careers and moved to the Pacific Northwest for flight training. He is also pursuing a master’s degree in Aeronautics at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
He obtained his Commercial Pilot certificate and Instrument Rating in Oregon in 2022. He teaches in Cessna 152, 162, and 172 aircraft, as well as the Piper Seminole. To get the most out of his training, he chose to fly solo cross-country flights to challenging airports, including a circuit from Portland to Redding east of the Cascades and a non-stop flight back over Grants Pass. He moved to the San Francisco Bay Area in 2023, where he became a Flight Instructor.
With a passion for rock climbing and mountaineering, Hari visits the Himalayas and Alps every year. Backpacking during such trips, exploring local cultures, riding motorcycles, and natural farming are all close to his heart. Hari ensures that his students perform well above FAA minimum standards while having fun. During the holidays, Hari loves spending time with his large family. He is a first-generation pilot who one day wants to be an Emergency Medical Services (EMS) pilot or aerial firefighter.
