Marvin was born and raised in San Francisco and earned his Psychology degree from UC Irvine. He first worked in research before choosing to pursue aviation full‑time. His background in psychology helps him teach with clear communication, patience, and an understanding of how different students learn.

Marvin began flying in 2024 and completed all of his training in the Bay Area. He is an FAA‑certified CFI, authorized to teach people how to fly, and an FAA‑certified CFII, qualified to teach instrument flying in clouds or low‑visibility conditions. Marvin enjoys helping students feel confident in the cockpit and creates a calm, welcoming environment where questions are encouraged and mistakes are part of learning. He also enjoys sharing his knowledge of Bay Area airports and airspace.

Outside of aviation, Marvin enjoys weightlifting and running. He also likes spending time outdoors, going to the movies, and relaxing with friends.
